New House, New Season
The Back Story
Sara and I played softball in college together. However, it wasn't until after college that our lives aligned and we really hit it off and became best friends. As life would have it, relationships came and went and oddly, our breakups and fresh starts typically happened around the same time. Sara and I both did a ton of growing up, and it wasn't until Sara bought her own (first) home and started playing football that I started to see the person she was meant to be.
Soon after that chapter started, we went to a pride event in Baltimore where she decided to debut a new romantic interest of hers. She was blonde, she played football (how they met), she was short, but she was spunky, although quiet at the same time. In a sea of rainbows she had eyes only for my best friend, and after that day their love caught on fire.
Today
Fast forward to September 2021, my best friend got herself a wife in that woman I met that day at pride. I was able to stand next to her during the wedding and watch her become the happiest human she's ever been. It was so cool to witness. And then, in early 2022, they began building their forever home; close to work, family, football and most importantly, a yard for the doggos.
Recently, I was able to go visit the new home for the first time and we squeezed in some rainy day photos on their beautifully decorated fall-themed porch. Sporting the perfect fall fashion too, I might add. (Check out some of these perfect fall finds, here.)
With an umbrella in one hand, and camera in the other, I felt a surge of passion and excitement while getting to document such a milestone for two of my dearest people in life. These cozy, season-inspired photos are merely moments in time that will forever celebrate this chapter of their lives and I'm so honored to be the one to capture it.
Cheers, Sara & Chantal! Love you both.
